The Clinic and its Branches
Asklepion was founded in 1997, initially as one of the biggest and best equipped laser medicine centres, and as its services gradually expanded the centre moved to the renovated and modernized premises of the former Gynaecology Clinic in 2005, which is located near downtown Prague.
With an area of 3,500 m2, the clinic is now among the biggest private clinics of aesthetic medicine and longevity in Central Europe.
On six floors, you will find all branches of aesthetic medicine, including plastic surgery, dental medicine, vascular surgery, dermatology, laser medicine, anti-aging medicine, and physiotherapy, among others.
With its technological facilities and equipment, including dozens of medical offices with state-of-the-art equipment, surgical theatres, dental lab, and so on, and in cooperation with many scientific facilities and teaching/university hospitals in the Czech Republic and abroad, the Clinic is among the top Czech and global centres for medical services.
With its 2 super-aseptic rooms and 1 interventional room equipped with the state-of-the-art technology (including inpatient wards) and the top specialists working in these facilities, our clinic has become a very popular destination for foreign clients looking for high quality but affordable treatment in a setting that meets all standards set in the EU directives.
The interior of the Clinic was designed by Hippos, a design and architecture studio, to offer the best services to clients in a pleasant and modern atmosphere.
In addition to the Prague Central branch, Asklepion has eight more branches in the Czech Republic. The biggest branch is Asklepion in Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad), where four centres have already been opened. Three Asklepion centres are open in Mariánské Lázně, and the branch in Radium Palace Hotel in Jáchymov is also progressing rapidly.
Asklepion Karlovy Vary
The oldest Asklepion centre in Karlovy Vary is located in the spa complex of the Bristol Hotel.
This Asklepion branch was established in 1997 and since then the branch has enlarged and expanded its services several times. Originally narrowly focused on laser medicine, the centre transformed to cover other specialties as well, including dermatology, plastic surgery, dental medicine, vascular medicine, ENT, dietology, gastroenterology, and many other disciplines, which are located throughout the entire area of the Bristol complex. In the Královská Vila (Royal Villa) building, built on the place of a former royal castle, Asklepion today has the Dental Medicine and Body Cosmetics Departments; Asklepion’s Department of Dermatology and Laser Medicine is located in Vila Tereza (Villa Theresa), where the lovely Austrian empress Elisabeth, known as Sissi, was accommodated back in 1892.
Bristol has an international reputation. Bristol has an international reputation. Archduke Frances Albert, Sigmund Freud, as well as Soviet era Marshal Konev, V. P. Brezhneva, and A. Kosygin are among past guests. The current clientele is 90% from abroad, mostly from post-Soviet republics and Arab countries, and partially from Germany. Due to the special genius loci of Karlovy Vary, special climate, mineral springs, excellent care and services, the prominent leaders of said countries, including presidents, visit this place and use the services of the hotel and Asklepion time and time again.
Additional branches of Asklepion were opened in Karlovy Vary. In the middle of 2001, we opened the second laser centre in Karlovy Vary at the Savoy Westend Hotel.
We offer luxury cosmetic and dermatology services, including treatment with the Maestro biostimulation laser, and Omnilux intensive light therapy. In 2007, we opened the Laser Centre in the Dvořák Hotel directly on the Karlovy Vary colonnade. The exclusive boutique of the French cosmetics Guerlain is the jewel of Asklepion in the Dvořák Hotel, which makes cosmetic treatment a truly unique experience due to the luxury equipment. Clients will find the best of dermatology and cosmetics available in Central Europe at very advantageous prices. At the beginning of 2008, six months after the opening of the branch in the Dvořák hotel, Asklepion launched services in the newly built complex in the Kolonáda Hotel. Asklepion’s Centre for anti-aging medicine was opened, which includes the balneology centre called Lázně šesti smyslů [Six Sense Spa].
Asklepion Mariánské Lázně
Mariánské Lázně is the second biggest spa resort town in the Czech Republic, with a wealth of mineral springs. Already declared a public spa resort back in 1818, it obtained the city statute in 1865 and has ranked among the most important European spa centres since the beginning of the 20th century. During its 150-year history, Mariánské Lázně has been proud to host such important guests as Mark Twain, singer Ema Destinnová, composer Johann Strauss, and many other celebrities.
The first branch of Asklepion in Mariánské lázně – the Laser Centre – was established in 2001 and is located on the ground floor of the Brusel spa building. Over the years, the original Laser Centre considerably expanded its activities and today offers many services including laser medicine, corrective dermatology and plastic surgery (plastic surgery of eyelids, ears, and so on), massage, manicure, and pedicure.
In 2004, the second branch of Asklepion was opened with its seat in the Art Nouveau hotel Nové Lázně. Providing the most comprehensive offer of therapeutic and relaxation cures, which are optimally supplemented with the services of Asklepion, this hotel has been operating since 1896, and the British King Edward VII was a frequent guest here. In addition to common body beautification procedures, we offer our clients many special facial and body cosmetic programs and treatments with the most advanced cosmetic body and facial devices.
In 2008, Asklepion opened its third branch in one of the oldest buildings in Mariánské Lázně, the Centrální Lázně Hotel (Central Spa Hotel); here, clients may enjoy a wide range of services at the departments of dental medicine, gastroenterology, vascular surgery, dermatology, and laser medicine, and cosmetology.
