Arm lift

Arm lift

  • Maximum effect for arms with significantly loose skin

  • Hi-tech equipment and follow-up care
  • Suitable for loss of skin elasticity and muscle atrophy

Around the age of 60, particularly for women, there is often noticeable loss of muscle and significant skin laxity that cannot be easily improved. Plastic surgery can address this issue by removing loose skin and, if needed, by reducing excess subcutaneous fat during an arm lift surgery.

HOW DOES ARM LIFT SURGERY WORK

FOR WHOM IT IS SUITABLE

Arm lift surgery is recommended for those who are bothered by persistently loose skin on their arms that might cause discomfort during movement and interferes with clothing, and when other solutions have proven ineffective. The prerequisite for arm lift surgery is a good and stable overall health condition of the patient.

SURGERY

Arm lift surgery can be performed under general anesthesia or analgesia. The subcutaneous tissue and skin are then sutured layer by layer using long-term absorbable stitches. The surgical incisions are covered with absorbent dressings and an elastic bandage. The typical duration of arm lift plastic surgery is 90 minutes.

SCARS

The surgical incisions and subsequent scars are placed on the inner side of the arm between the upper and lower muscle groups longitudinally from the armpit to the elbow. The scar will always be visible, and it is necessary to accept it as a compromise for resolving the issue.

RECOVERY

Arm lift surgery is not overly burdensome in terms of its scope or postoperative course. After the surgery, you will be taken care of in an accredited postoperative care department, where you usually stay for 1 day. Rest is advised in the first few days after the surgery. The elastic bandage is typically kept in place for 3-5 days after the surgery.
