Endotine Implants Techniques
Endotine is a system developed in the USA that uses super-soft absorbable implants which are inserted under the skin of the face and neck. At this place, the implants hold the soft tissues in the desired lifted position. After the procedure, new fibrous structures start to form under the skin, which fix the tissue in its place even after the implant is fully dissolved. The method is used either alone or as an optimal complementation of the face lift technique.
All implants are inserted through tiny incisions and can substitute for the traditional brow lift, forehead lift and partially also facelift and neck lift. The patented design of the implants guarantees a safe tissue fixation in the new position and moreover, enables to easily re-adjust the position of the tissue at any time to achieve optimal position and correction.
One of the most effective operations that can be achieved with the Endotine system, is the lifting of drooping eyebrows and surgery of the upper eyelids at the same time, all through a single incision and without general anaesthesia! The
Endotine TransBleph implant is inserted into the area under the eyebrows and fixed directly to the bone of the eyebrow arch. The eyebrow is fixed into a new position, with a minimum need to interfere with the periosteum, and subsequently the surgeon performs the upper eyelid surgery.
The result of the two procedures is a really rejuvenated look, for which several procedures had to be undertaken in the past.
Problems with sagging skin in the middle part of the face can be managed by two types of adjustment implants,
Endotine Midface. After the insertion, the surgeon lifts the tissue with the help of a strip, a part of the implant. Since the entire system is very simple, the surgeon has an absolute control over the extent of the skin lift and can exactly perform the desired correction. The implant remains in the tissue only during the healing process and fixation of the new position, and then it is absorbed by the body.
The
Midface ST implant is inserted through an incision on the temple or from inside the oral cavity (anchored by the suture in the subcutaneous area) and enables a tissue lift in the area of lines between the mouth and nose. Since the length of the fixation is adjustable, the surgeon can lift your skin exactly as you wish. The
Midface B fixation is used to lift the area of the “cheeks”, a tissue around the cheekbones. It is inserted safely and without scars through the inner side of the lower eyelid , where it is anchored in the lower eye socket.
Thanks to this implant, droopy cheeks can be lifted in the vertical direction.
In the Czech Republic, the Endontine lift technique is performed only by a limited number of surgeons. M.D. Musilova and M.D. Chovan are one of them.
